Roberto’s journey as a jeweller began in Milan, where centuries of art, architecture and craftsmanship are woven into everyday life. Growing up surrounded by that tradition—and learning from master goldsmiths who carried generations of knowledge—shaped the way he sees beauty, balance and craftsmanship today.

Some of his earliest memories are of his father taking him into the workshops of skilled artisans, where raw materials were transformed into works of art. Long before he became a jeweller, he learned to appreciate the patience, creativity and craftsmanship that turn metal, wood and stone into something enduring. Those early experiences continue to inspire his work today.

He trained through a traditional apprenticeship under a master goldsmith whose career spanned more than half a century. He later refined his skills in some of Milan's finest jewellery workshops on Via Monte Napoleone and Via della Spiga. He learned how to create one-of-a-kind pieces while mastering techniques that are rarely taught today.

Much of every Adorno piece is still created by hand, from shaping precious metals and developing custom alloys to hand-finishing surfaces and carefully setting each gemstone. 

Every stage of creation deserves the attention, patience and judgment that only years of experience can provide.
